Set in an alternate 1983, this standalone from Garth Nix blends aspects of Neil Gaiman’s
Neverwhere with Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials. Susan’s mother has always been very vague on any information about Susan’s father, so when she turns 18, the young woman resolves to go to London and look for him herself. Once there, Susan discovers that any number of inimical magical creatures, as well as bespelled criminals, have taken a dangerous interest in her.
Thankfully, she gains both information and assistance from Merlin, a handsome young man (at least for the moment; he’s capable of switching gender) with a taste for fashion and an array of combat skills. Merlin is a left-handed bookseller, part of a clan who sells books and negotiates between humanity and the magical creatures of the Old World. As the attacks on Susan escalate, her search for her father takes on a dangerous urgency, and, while she has Merlin’s support, the rest of his family must decide whether to
Alex Brown (by Henrik Meng)
2020 has been a hellish year for so many reasons, but one of the few bright spots has been the mass of absolutely incredible fiction that managed to get published. Usually I’m able to read a good chunk of new books, particularly young-adult speculative fiction, but what with –
waves hands dramatically – everything, my reading this year took a sharp left into romance fiction. It’s become my main reading genre at this point, which hasn’t left much room for anything else. However, a few books of the science fiction, fantasy, and horror persuasion have squeezed through the crush of bodices and meet-cutes. Fortunately for me, most have been so good that I inhaled them each in a few sittings. What follows is a long, rambling list of some of my favorite young-adult speculative fiction books from 2020.

When buying a car, leverage helps. The ultimate leverage to have as a buyer strolling onto a lot in Seattle is a manufacture desperate to clear the inventory.
The automotive research firm iSeeCars.com, released a new report that analyzed over 700,000 new cars for sale across the country to determine which models from 2020 have sat, waiting to be bought at a bargain price.
“When looking at inventory in 2021, there is 9.5 percent less new car inventory from the current model year compared to the same time last year,” iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer said in the report. “This is likely because automakers had to delay releases of their new vehicles and because inventory hasn’t completely stabilized. These cars not only provide negotiation opportunities right now, but many of these vehicles can present even greater savings opportunities as more 2021 vehicles ente
February 15, 2021 in Games (E) [prMac.com] Toronto, Canada - Gimmick Free! That s the new motto of Game Scorpion Inc. an indie game company located in Canada. Releasing their latest title called Knights of Riddle, the company plans on introducing gaming that focuses on a gimmick free experience for its users. Loot crates? No thanks! Pop-up ads at every turn? Not in these games. The goal of Game Scorpion Inc. in 2021 and beyond is to focus on developing gimmick free games for players to play rather than the usual experiences that have haunted the mobile and game industry these past years providing players with a sub-par experience and costing them hundreds if not thousands of dollars in micro-transactions.
Final Justice League Trailer Teaser Rolls with the Bat Tank!

Finally! The Snyder Cut
JUSTICE LEAGUE teaser-for-the-new-trailer game is coming to an end! Above, you can take in the last 14-second peek at tomorrow s full trailer. Let me be clear: I was never a fan of the whole trailer-for-a-trailer shit. It feels like a cheap ad tactic, which is a bit of a red flag for me. And now Zack Snyder has pushed out four or five of these little teases? Well, be sure to check out that Bat Tank up top!
Despite these flippin teases, I am still looking forward to the Snyder Cut when HBO Max lifts the curtain on March 18th. I just hope it isn t all big explosion CGI and minimal substance. Snyder has hyped the crap out of this thing for so long, anything less than a masterpiece may end up letting fans down. What are your thoughts on the new
